Manchester United are in pursuit of two strikers as boss Jose Mourinho seeks to bolster his forward options for the coming season.

With Wayne Rooney seemingly on his way out of Old Trafford and Zlatan Ibrahimovic having yet to sign a new deal – and injured as well – Mourinho is planning to bring in at least one international striker.

After United’s interest in Atletico Madrid’s Antione Griezmann ended with the Frenchman committing his future to the club, top of Mourinho’s list is now reportedly Torino striker Andrea Belotti, who scored 26 goals in Serie A last season. However, Mourinho has been warned that he will need to trigger the Italian’s £87 million release clause to bag him, according to the Manchester Evening News.

Mourinho also has a long-standing interest in Real Madrid striker Alvaro Morata. He has already had a £52 million bid rejected, but is ready to come back with a £60 million offer for the Spaniard. However, the Daily Mirror report that Madrid are holding out for £78 million.
