Manchester United have been told by Inter Milan bosses to up their bid for midfielder Ivan Perisic before they will consider selling him.
United have already bid £35 million for the Croatian midfielder, but Inter are holding out for £44 million.
However, United manager Jose Mourinho has not been put off by that valuation and is said to want to wrap up a deal for 28-year-old Perisic before the club head off on their pre-season tour of the US in three weeks time.
Inter need to sell at least one of their players before the end of the month to comply with Financial Fair Play regulations – if they don’t raise euro30 million they will face a fine from UEFA.
